Sample Law Questions and Answers

Overall, these selected answers help demonstrate the overall length and quality of the answers, which scored above average in the reported administration of the dissertation portion of the bar exam. However, these are unedited answers written by actual candidates under time pressure without access to law books. Therefore, these tests do not always identify or address all the issues raised by the question, and they may contain irrelevant or incorrect information. They do not accurately reflect Texas law or its application to the facts in all respects. These essays are not intended to be “model answers” and should never be interpreted by anyone as legal advice. The following practice test involves several of these seven topics in the hypothetical problem-solving questions and the multiple-choice questions. Most of the 50 practical bar check questions are based on a hypothetical problem. This issue raises a legal conflict between the parties to the dispute, which must be resolved through the judicial process. You will learn how to resolve such fact-based disputes with competent legal reasoning and select the most likely response from the four alternatives. You can choose the answer you think is the best answer given the facts, the law, and the circumstances. There is only one best answer, and each question has only one acceptable answer. During the six specialized blended exams, you will hone your legal problem-solving skills by applying the law applicable to litigation in practice.

This is what lawyers do every day when they practice law. They attempt to resolve factual conflicts by asserting their choice and interpretation of the law on the facts given in the name of the client`s position. Each hypothesis is written to make your mind work in the ways of legal reasoning. Please note that not all exam questions or selected answers are available for the exams listed below. The Multistate Bar Examination, prepared and conducted by the National Conference of Bar Examiners, is the first part of the Bar Examination. It includes documents on seven areas of law.

These are civil procedure, constitutional law, contracts, criminal law and procedure, evidence, real estate and tort. The MBE consists of 200 hypothetical multiple-choice questions.
